2018 Book Week

Zoe and Lacey
Find Your Treasure!
(Story written by Mrs Judi Chatwood, Media Liaison Officer)
Book Week celebrations kicked off this week with the annual theme being “Find Your Treasure” and everyone was encouraged to “Dress Up as a Book Character You Treasure”.
The school library, always a hub of activity, was busier than normal as library aides Mrs Kym Gormley and Mrs Julie Payne decorated the space to suit the theme.
As part of the “Find Your Treasure” theme, staff were encouraged to dress up as their ‘treasured’ book character.
Students were invited to take part in the celebrations by matching each ‘treasured’ book character to a staff member.
All the answers were there - they just had to be matched up, with the winner being announced at a parade along with the winners of the class library competition.
Students’ competition work decorated the library and all students had the opportunity to vote on their favourite entry from each class during their library lessons.
Parents and carers were invited to visit the library, parade and take part in the quiz and had the chance to check out all the wonderful books on display and for sale.
So, who was the Paperbag Princess, Chicken Little, Captain Feathersword, Pookie and Willa of the Wood?
Check out the results to find out!
