2018 Halloween Free Dress Day

Ghouls and ghosts dress up for trick or treat
(Story written by Mrs Judi Chatwood, Media Liaison Officer)
There were ghouls and ghosts galore for Blackbutt State School’s Halloween-themed dress-up day.
Aspiring witches and wizards were busy casting pretend spells while zombies and vampires stalked the school grounds in all their finery.
Everyone joined in the spirit of the day, with those choosing to dress up making a gold coin donation for the honour of displaying their cool costumes.
Teachers in costume joined their students for the fun activity, with Mr Lewis Bishton striding out as a devilish character complete with horns and tail.
Miss Stephanie Mahoney was resplendent in royal blue, red and gold with garish make-up to suit the theme.
There was a line-up of scary skeletons and tiny witches in hot pink, while bats from the belfry landed for a peek at the costumes.
Count Dracula strutted her stuff while the Halloween clowns scared the crowd.
Everyone had fun including our Preps who dressed down in cute unicorn and pussycat costumes.
