Mums are No 1 at Blackbutt State School
Mums, grandmothers and special carers were the No 1 priority at Blackbutt State School in the lead-up to Mother’s Day.
The school P & C held a special Mother’s Day stall where students from all grades could check out some great gift ideas for their mums, grandmothers and carers.
On Wednesday this week, students visited with their class to look at the range of gifts and buy something special just for mum.
The stall also opened on Thursday for those students who couldn’t make up their minds on a gift.
With prices ranging from just $1 to $10, there was something for everyone to choose from.
Principal Mrs Gayle Williamson said the stall gave all students the opportunity to reflect on how special their mums were.
“No matter what the cost of a gift for mum, it is the thought that counts,’’ she said.
“Students had a great variety of gifts to choose from and each gift was presented in a special Mother’s Day bag with a card to match.
“Our hard-working P & C mums put in a lot of work selecting a range of gifts suitable for mums and they also took care of the stall over the two days.
“It was a great way to show mums, grandmothers and carers just how special they are to their children.’’
