Oral Health Activities

Our visiting Tooth Fairies
Toothy grins all round
(Story written by Mrs Judi Chatwood-Media Liaison Officer)
There were toothy grins all round this week as our students took part in special activities to mark Dental Health Week.
The school hall was the place to be as students lined up to learn the finer art of oral health care.
Acting Deputy Principal Miss Natasha Miller and teacher aide Mrs Alison Beutel were on hand to show students the importance of daily brushing and general oral health care.
The Australian Dental Association encourages the improvement of oral and general health while promoting the art and science of dentistry through its annual health week activities.
The tooth fairy and her fairy friends, resplendent in fairy wings and glitter, made a special appearance.
There were special displays to show the right sort of foods to eat for perfect teeth and some interesting posters to show how much sugar there is in junk foods.
All participating students received an oral health care kit with a mini toothbrush and toothpaste inside.
