Swimming Carnival 2016

Kendall makes a splash in swimming carnival
Blackbutt State School pool was awash in yellow and green for the annual swimming carnival.
The sun shone and the pool was cool as Kendall and Lawson houses battled it out for the coveted championship trophy.
Parents and carers watched from the sideline as students took to the water in events ranging from noodle races to the exciting teachers vs students relay.
The noodle races gave the younger swimmers the opportunity to compete while enjoying the day in a more relaxing way.
In the teachers vs students relay, teachers Mr Ben Hawthorne, Miss Natasha Miller, Miss Anoushka Pocock, Mr Justin Perrin and Miss Laura Hanton were too good, winning the relay in fine style.
At the end of the day Kendall House ruled supreme with 714 points to Lawson’s 569 points. It was a great day for records, with 13 being broken.
Age Champions were 6 Year Girl: Mila Chmirow (no boy); 7 Year Girl: Gemmason Green, Boy: Tyson Saunders; 8 Year Girl: Lynleigh Beutel, Boy: Ryan Wallace; 9 Year Girl: Aimee Bleakley and Aaliyah Reiser, Boy: Logan Christie; 10 Year Girl: Lillyana Beutel, Boy: Brandon Lohse; 11 Year Girl: Sienna Norris, Boy: Luca Lazzaroni; 12 Year Girl: Lauren Beutel, Boy: Jett Hoffman.
A big thank you to Miss Miller who put so much hard work into organizing another successful swimming carnival.
