Mr Archibald George Muir (Archie) was a well-known local Blackbutt identity who ran a garage business at Blackbutt for many years.

Archie lived at Coulson Street, Blackbutt until his death on the 12th April, 1993 after a short period of time in the Nanango Karinya Nursing Home.

Mr Archibald Muir has bequeathed money to be held in trust to support the young adolescents of Blackbutt with their education.

In 2016, we are delighted to begin The Archie Muir Trust Bursary for Year 6 students.  One of our year 6 girls and one of our year 6 boys will be selected and given a digital device to assist with their future high school studies.

From 2016 onwards, each year Mr Muir’s trust fund will purchase two digital devices ie laptop/notebook/tablet to be given to two successful year 6 applicants to help with their future high school studies.

The digital devices will be presented to the selected applicants at the year 6 graduation dinner on December 6 2016.

All year 6 students are encouraged to apply by completing the application form-see below.
